Kate Hinton

Kate is a multi-award winning PR consultant with experience in business, personal finance, transport, energy, and environment and sustainability sectors. Starting out as a journalist she has spent the bulk of her career in senior communication roles across a variety of organisations including the Environment Agency, Energy Saving Trust, Greenergy and London First. As an independent consultant she has provided PR support for a number of clients helping to build their reputation, and secure high profile media coverage. Her clients include: Zipcar, Material Focus, eMotorWerks, People Who Share, IEMA, Green Energy, ACE, Viridor, Global Action Plan, and Sustainable Ventures. As part of her work for the Recycle Your Electricals campaign, her most recent successes include: winning a Business Green Award (2024); delivering 5,000 pieces of media coverage highlighting the issue of disposable vapes which helped to ignite a global debate on the environmental impact of vapes, and their subsequent ban in the UK. She also delivered the multi-award winning PR for Clean Air Day, securing 1,700 pieces of media coverage.
