In a typically restless move, in its 15th year of Founder ownership, W bravely pursued a strategy of decentralisation that would make every employee an owner of the business. Despite being in the peak of its strength, a powerful pivot led by Founder and CEO, Warren Johnson, saw the company transform into to an Employee-Owned Trust (EOT). This in short empowered the people that have long been a part of the agency’s creative and commercial success to take the reins. With an increasing ownership stake in the business, more say in significant decision-making, and a longer-term commitment to the agency’s sustained success, global growth and entrepreneurialism, this is a story of how all of this permeated across the business and thrived like never before.
