The hospitality sector was no laughing matter during the pandemic, with thousands of restaurants forced to close their doors. But when social distancing restrictions eased, restaurants faced the challenge of bringing diners back inside and making them smile again. This tells the story of how we helped the quick-service restaurant chain Subway® create brand relevancy and drive footfall by making people laugh. Subway handed over control of its in-store radio network to Kurupt FM, the fictional pirate radio station at the heart of the award-winning comedy People Just Do Nothing, for a weeklong takeover with riotous results.
