To meet net zero, we must decarbonise our homes at pace. Government policy has lacked clarity, despite it being a Conservative 2019 manifesto commitment. Cavendish developed an ambitious multi-channel campaign with Stonewater to secure the issue as key to the Green Industrial Strategy, and the anti-fuel poverty agenda. Underpinned by a commissioned think-tank report, the campaign established Stonewater as the ‘go to’ housing association on decarbonisation and resulted in the Government’s ten-point plan commitment of £122m in funding to support the rollout of 600,000 heat pumps. Stonewater has actively changed policy and behaviour.
