Project Light: Bringing 54 Ukrainian orphans to safety

On February 24th 2022, the world changed overnight when Russian forces invaded

Ukraine. Three weeks later, after two charities had evacuated 54 Ukrainian children and their guardians to Poland, over a dozen organisations worked together to try to provide them refuge in the United Kingdom. Named Project Light, the mission was unprecedented, with Ready10 coordinating the comms response and working at breakneck speed with multiple stakeholders, politicians across four countries and three charities to ensure the group arrived safely in the UK.
